Summary:
This thesis is divided into two parts. In the first one, the most extensive bibliography is presented both on domestic violence and on creative writing and on the correlation between them. The second part consists of the creative part within the framework of the specialization "Theatrical Translation and Creative Writing" of the postgraduate course.
More specifically, in the first part, for better organization of the subject, the thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one consists of the conceptual framework of domestic violence, its forms, its statistics, the factors that positively reinforce it, its effects and the methods of intervention. In the second chapter, the concept of creative writing, its characteristics and its supporting role in general are studied. In addition, in the third and final chapter, the existing literature that studies the contribution of creative writing in the treatment contexts of individuals who have experienced domestic violence as children is studied.
In the creative part, the author of this thesis creates two texts with theatrical potential, both on the subject of domestic violence.
