Summary:

Technology developed for pain time management is rapidly evolving and offers new autonomous perspectives for pain diagnosis and treatment, rather than simply addressing the limitations of pharmacology-based approaches.
There are two central challenges to be addressed: the development of objective measures that capture the subjectivity of pain experience and the provision of technological interventions that offer new approaches to pain management. This literature review will highlight recent submissions to address both challenges.
