Summary:
The present study aims to investigate the contribution of faith and religiosity of young adults aged 18-29 years to the management of death anxiety. For this purpose a sample survey was carried out using a questionnaire consisting of a demographic and social data questionnaire and the scales Death Anxiety Scale (DAQ), The Centrality Religiosity Scale (CRS 15) and The Santa Clara Strength of Religious Faith Questionnaire (SCSRFQ). The sample collected was 576 people, of which 70% were women and 30% were men. The results of the research showed that this specific sample had high levels of faith and religiosity and low levels of death anxiety. Differentiation was observed in terms of levels of faith/religiosity between the two sexes, with men having higher percentages than women. Participants who self-identified as religious appeared to have higher death anxiety than those who self-identified as atheists/agnostics, while women appeared to have higher death anxiety than men.
