The destiny of photography in the era of common intervention in its reality
Summary:
In this study we approach the issue of interventionism in photographic reality from different entry points (chapters) which are independent. The writing order is the recommended reading order, but the reader is free to choose the one that he thinks it suits him best. We will look at the history of photography and present definitions of photography. Then we develop the concept of the archive and see why it becomes digital and what exactly this means in modern society. We will discover how the technology of the medium affects the ratio that characterizes it and construct the ratio axis. We will identify the influence of artistic movements, the personal stigma of the photographer (by approaching some famous and recognized photographers) and introduce the aura concept of the genre. We approach the philosophical position "we are what we remember", we examine when, how and why the intervention in photographic reality takes place and we develop the reasons we photograph. Finally, we will look at the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society in general and photography in particular and we will talk about the death of the photographer and the ontology of photography.
