The effectiveness of the rotations of the high level women's volleyball game
Summary:
In competitive volleyball there are six rotations (R1-R6), each
characterized by the position of the setter. According to the regulations during the
Duration of each rotation, teams are required to follow both
basic complexes of actions of the game. Teams make efforts
for winning a point in each racing episode in their order when
serve (Complex I) and during the reception of the opposing team's service
(Complex II). In addition, during each rotation, opposing teams
try to win in racing episode through its scoring skills
volleyball (attack, blocks, serve, opper other mistakes). Purpose of this Agreement
study was to examine the efficacy of Complexes I and II during
duration of each rotation, combined with scoring skills and
mistakes of the opposing team. The sample of the survey was the Women's games
of the top eight teams in the ranking of the Olympic tournament in 2021 in
Tokyo. Racing performance data cames from 20 records
games, 75 sets and 3,163 racing episodes. A reliability check of the researcher was carried out, where acceptable values were obtained (K Cohen=0,911). The statistical analysis that
Used was independence check between variables "rotation"
and "scoring action" which was done through x-squared control. The level
significance for all measurements was set at P<0. 5. The findings of the study
demonstrate a direct correlation between spins and scoring. More specifically, the most effective rotation is the one with the setter
in zone 3 with a success rate of 51. 6%. Regarding sequences
an imbalance occurs, since the teams performing complex I win
61% of racing episodes and in complex II 39%. The scoring skill of the attack
It concerns a significant part of the data, either positive or negative. End
It is noted that in scoring patterns, the phase of the attack after reception
(side out) recorded a 29. 1% share in the profitability of racing episodes. At the same time, the results confirmed that the attack is the most important
skill in high-level women's volleyball and that his missed serves
opponents cover much of the game in 10% of actions
recorded by the study.
