Geopolitical analysis of the psychological factor in the Greece - Serbia - FYROM complex and the supra-systemic intervention of Neo-Ottoman Turkey
Summary:
The main objective of this research is the practical examination and the theoretical and methodological definition of the psychological factor - its character, forms and roles - not only in geopolitics, but also in geostrategy. In addition, the social purpose lies in tracing the relations between Greeks, Serbs and Macedonians, which are affected by the geopolitical situation in the Balkans achieved through the actions of the Great Powers, but also by the prevailing psychological factors operating in the mentioned countries. The writer is of the opinion that certain poles of power successfully exert their influence in the present geopolitical system through the knowledge and use of the psychological factor that exists, acts and influences the geographical complex in question. She dares, briefly, to name these actions of the Great Powers as psychological mechanisms, which she then examines in the context of the four Geopolitical Pillars of each subsystem. Then, she calculates their overall action as the final result of power redistribution trends, with particular emphasis on the action of Ankara's neo-Ottoman interventions in the geopolitical complex defined by the title of the research. Finally, the researcher makes an effort to offer her conclusions, opinions and predictions, thus leaving room for possible further geopolitical analysis of the issue in question. Since the treatment of this issue requires a multidisciplinary approach, she chooses the Contemporary Systemic Geopolitical Analysis of Professor I. Th. Mazis, which due to its interdisciplinary nature offers answers to the complex questions raised in this research.
