Summary:
The purpose of this work was to highlight the benefits that arise from the drafting of a
complete and quality business plan for all kinds of companies, especially for the
agricultural sector enterprises. Also, the purpose was to present the categories and
stages of writing a business plan, as well as to conduct a case study for the company
"BARBA STATHISMABEE". The results showed that the specific company, due to
the increased experience it has through its many years of stable activity in the Greek
agri-food sector, as well as in foreign markets, has as its main objective the further
expansion of its export activity and the offer of products even greater variety to the
Greek and foreign consumer public, so as not to lose its already existing competitive
advantage. After all, this is a company that is considered a leader in its industry.
Despite the adversities of recent years, which negatively affected the economic
climate, not only in Greece but also in the international reality, this particular
company managed to get back on its feet, stand worthy of the circumstances and
expand further. In general, it became evident that the drafting of a complete and
quality business plan is necessary for all business entities, as it offers them a clear
picture of the prevailing situation in their internal and external environment, of the
opportunities that can be exploited and for the preventable risks. Also, it is a powerful
tool that helps in the process of making strategic decisions taken by management and
entrepreneurs, but also an important pole of attraction of financing, which can help to
further expand a business.
