Summary:
In this study, the expected goal is the presentation of the common structural elements and the differences between the theoretical thinking of P. Kondylis and the fundamental principles of the Systemic Geopolitical Analysis of professor I. Th. Mazis.
As a case study for the comparative analysis, the Epimeter in the Theory of War by P. Kondylis was used, an essay on strategic analysis of the relations between Greece and Turkey, which according to the author is a timeless reflection of the Greek reality.
The opinion of P. Kondylis that "the necessary background and framework of healthy self-awareness is the knowledge of the wider surrounding world, within which an individual or collective subject is called upon to act, assessing his potential as soberly as possible" refers to a rational way of thinking and a realistic view of reality along the lines of Thucydides.
Indeed, a thorough conception and knowledge of the character of the driving forces and historically active subjects sharpens the subtlety of judgment and prompts rational decision-making both in the present and in the future.
