«Πολιτικές και πολιτιστικές διαστάσεις διαχείρισης των Fados και του Flamenco της Ιβηρικής»
Translated title:
Political and cultural dimensions of managing Fados and Flamenco in the Iberian.
Summary:
The present work focuses on Portuguese Fado and Andalusian Flamenco, initially regarding their historical elements and musical characteristics, and subsequently concerning the political management dimensions they underwent under dictatorial regimes. Additionally, it examines the cultural management dimensions by Portugal and Spain, as well as by the UNESCO organization. Specifically, it will explore how the dictatorial regimes in Portugal and Spain managed these musical genres, leading them to be presented as national music of each respective country, and how the states subsequently handled these musical genres, directing them towards a more tourist-oriented and, by extension, profitable aspect.
