Summary:
Natural and Technological disasters concern the individual and all the Organizational Structures of the World Community at state level and all levels of administration, as well as the organized structures that operate within it and at the Transnational level. The provision to control the consequences of a catastrophic event is necessary and derives from the very instinct of self-preservation and existence of humans throughout time.
In modern times, the organization and development of disaster protection systems is an indication of a society that devotes time and money to risk reduction. Anticipating, dealing with and re-opening structures affected by a natural or technological disaster is necessary in the context of security and control of possible negative developments. Therefore, natural disasters are phenomena that individuals, wherever they are in the length and breadth of the planet, are called upon to manage and detect methods to reduce their negative effects. This paper deals with exactly these, proposing a safer operation of the Hellenic Post Office, which will also help the more economical operation of the Agency as a System.
With the aim of shielding against extraordinary and unforeseen needs resulting from a Natural Disaster, the work is structured as follows:
Getting to know Natural Disasters.
The effect of a Natural Disaster on ELTA (Post Office) and
Research on the existing situation in the agency, with the aim of better organizing the structures of the Hellenic Post Office to protect and reduce risks arising from a Natural Disaster.
