Summary:
This thesis is the result of the ethnographic research on the topic of Moving Musicians in Athens. Focusing on the case of a street jazz band, new spaces of musical performance and expression are being presented to the reader, such as the band's hangout places but also gathering spaces of the Athenian jazz community. The Moving Musicians, forging musical routes through the city, are inviting the reader to follow them from the street to a DIY studio, from the DIY studio to live performances and discover the world of wandering jazz, through a collection of experiences, emotions and unexpected events.
