Analysis of cybersecurity issues in Internet of Things
Summary:
The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized many areas, offering unparalleled
convenience and connectivity, however, this progress has also registered some
challenges, especially in terms of security and privacy (Allioui & Mourdi, 2023). Risk
management solutions are critical to identifying, assessing and mitigating risks.
Collaboration and consensus among stakeholders, including manufacturers,
developers, politicians and academics are believed to foster strong cyber security
frameworks (Sadhu et al., 2022). In addition, the importance of threat intelligence and
continuous monitoring technology to detect anomalies and respond to security
breaches early is emphasized. Creating a culture of government security awareness is
essential to educate stakeholders and equip them to recognize and mitigate security
risks (Wheelus & Zhu, 2020).
Encryption mechanisms and access limits are critical security measures in IoT
networks to protect private data and assets (Tariq et al., 2021). In the future, advanced
technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and blockchain
have a vital role to play in enhancing security in the Internet of Things. To safeguard
IoT ecosystems and promote innovation in the digital world, a comprehensive
approach that includes proactive security measures, effective risk management,
collaboration, regulatory compliance and technological improvements is vital (Allioui
& Mourdi, 2023).
