Summary:
Crises are a frequent phenomenon in Greek society and require special handling.
Particularly in the field of education, there are phenomena of crises that deregulate its
operation. In this Master's Thesis the term "crisis" in general is analyzed and
specialized in education.
In addition, the characteristics and ways of dealing with crises and the role of
the school principal - leader in crisis management are presented. Furthermore, the new
crisis that has emerged in the field of education, Covid-19, is discussed.
The paper extracts results through quantitative research and comments on the
new crisis in conjunction with the principal's management efforts. Finally, the
conclusions and recommendations for the direction of education and the course of
new research are presented.
