Justice. Corrective and distributive justice in Aristotle's phylosophy
Summary:
The concept of justice and its theoretical evolution through the centuries is the main object of this thesis, aiming at the rules and application of the law in the societies as appeared in different historical periods. The approach is divided into two parts. In the first part the concept of justice is examined in general context, starting from Plato to Aristotle till modern times, from Kant to Rawls. In the second part, which is the main part of the thesis, the concept of justice is examined focusing on the Aristotle’s form of justice, specifically corrective and distributive justice in the fifth book of Nicomachean Ethics. The last section of the thesis proceeds the concept of justice today and its evolutional application and role in modern societies nowadays.
