Summary:
The presenting thesis explains how the Orthodox Christian faith supports the protection and welfare of animals. Starting with the Bible's view on animals and continuing with the art, the divine liturgy and the orthodox religius textes the multitude of references of animal care, conservation and welfare becomes evident. A great role in establishing the love for animals and informing the public about it hold the great Fathers and Saints of the Orthodox church along with the modern church of our time.
