Summary:
Abstract
The present paper will try to check if the textbooks of Modern Greek Literature Texts of Middle and High School include texts that can cultivate the love for animals and in general the ecological consciousness of the students. More specifically, this work will seek to record and analyze those literary texts that are included in the literature textbooks of the Middle School and High School classes. The method used in this research is mainly Hermeneutical method. At some points, however, the Qualitative Analysis of the Content is also applied in order to meet the intended goals. Ultimately, however, the goal is to demonstrate the power of the verse of a poem or a passage of a prose text, the very power of speech that these powerful elements ultimately do not need any method to emerge.
The results obtained from the research demonstrate that the "Texts of Modern Greek Literature" of Middle and High School include a sufficient number of texts that bring teenagers into contact with both the natural environment and the rest of living organisms. As a consequence, the "Texts of Modern Greek Literature" of Middle School and High School meet those conditions in order to cultivate in students animals friendly feelings and ecofriendly feelings
