The correlation between personality functions and unemployment of adults: a quantitive research.

Unemployment is dynamic issue which has been researched by different sciences. In the field of clinical psychology it has been studied mostly as a factor of mental distortions. Past research focused mostly on the effects of unemployment on psychical apparatus and the family and social life regarding aggressively, depression, domestic violence, etc. The most of these studies have a basis on the cognitive-behavioral theory and the big-five theory mostly because of the psychometric tests provided. Despite the fact that psychoanalytic theory is based on the psychical apparatus as a fundamental part of the Ego, only recently did it develop research protocols. The current study tries to correlate unemployment to the organization of personality through the reflective functioning without giving a reason for this correlation. It was evident that the reflective functioning as well as narcissism as a central aspect of human psychism correlate regarding the job searching. However the limitations of this study do not permit a generalization on the general population.
