METHODOLOGY
The method/technique used is quantitative research, using questionnaires to collect the data. The questionnaires used are the following: Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status (ECOGPS), NCCN Distress Thermometer, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Spielberger'sStait-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). The processing of the sample responses was carried out with the Statistical Program SPSS V 21. The data were initially analyzed based on descriptive statistics (frequencies, mean values, standard deviations). Then they were analyzed based on inductive statistics, which includes correlations (Pearson Correlation or Spearman depending on the distribution of the sample), t-test (one sample t-test for control in relation to the average values in the general population, Independent Samples Test , and Paired Samples Statistics). ANOVA and Chi-Square Test (x2) were also used. The level of significance is p=0.05 (2-tailed).
