Summary:
This Thesis deals with the translation of part of the book by I. Gluschenko, V. Kurenoi, "Time, forward! The cultural policy in the USSR". Its title refers to the film of the same name by Michael Schweitzer Vremya, vered! (1965), dedicated to the construction of the first stage of the iron and steel plant in Magnitogorsk. The book "Time, Forward!" is a historical review of the past of the USSR in the field of cultural policy through the critical eye of modern analysts. Soviet society is considered a space of radical planning and experimentation in the field of cultural policy, which was far from homogeneous and sometimes chaotic and contradictory. Analysts assess the social sustainability of the institutions formed in this society, thanks to the Soviet cultural policy, as well as the consequences of the collapse and decline of some of them.
