Artificial intelligence and ethical issues
Summary:
Background: In recent years, the development of artificial intelligence has been rapidly evolving, with artificial intelligence systems performing well in various fields such as health, education. However, in addition to the resulting benefits, there are also ethical dilemmas that involve issues and risks for both humans and society itself.
Purpose: To explore the existing literature on identifying the ethical dilemmas and challenges posed by the development and deployment of AI technologies and the impact of ethics on the use of AI applications.
Method: A total of 16 studies were included in this review after searching the Scopus, PubMed and Web of Science databases using the PRISMA methodology.
Results: The ethical concerns raised are primarily related to the part of data security and privacy protection, while the principle of transparency is equally important. At the same time, although no ethical principle is strongly preferred to any other, it is found that depending on the age, gender, educational level or profession of each user, certain principles are given priority.
Conclusion: Despite the mentioned ethical concerns, which underline the importance of using AI in a responsible and fair way, users continue to use AI systems seeing them as beneficial.
