Summary:
In this paper, we take a brief look back at the birth of Jazz music, mainly from the 1920s to the present day. We refer to Jazz musicians with visual disabilities and how they managed to improvise and excel as musicians. We also make extensive reference to New Technologies and improvisation, how they interact and influence each other. Finally, the paper presents four accomplished Jazz musicians who were/are visually impaired.
