ABSTRACT
This thesis aims to examine the interaction of international trade, inflation, and the euro-dollar exchange rate on international tourism receipts in Greece over the 20-year period from 2002 to 2022. This timeframe encompasses two significant crises: the financial crisis beginning in 2009 and the COVID-19 pandemic starting in 2019.
Data were collected and initial hypotheses were formulated. Using the least squares method and the "R" programming language, we processed the data and applied our mathematical model. The initial results verified only one of our three hypotheses, indicating a poor fit for the model. Consequently, we developed a revised model in which all three hypotheses were verified, resulting in a significantly improved fit compared to the original model.
