Management of pregnancy and childbirth at filiaton general hospital
Summary:
This paper deals with the management of pregnancy and childbirth during the pandemic. Initially , the paper mentions the management of pregnancy and childbirth in the time of COVID - 19 , but also maternity care , mentioning the challenges both for the pregnant women themselves and for the health professionals. Subsequently , a survey is carried out with the aim of investigating the changes made due to the pandemic in terms of pregnancy and childbirth management at Filiaton General Hospital. From the results of the research , it appears that the pandemic has affected the way the hospital operates , where some practices were adopted in order to limit the spread of the virus within the hospital for the safety of patients. It also appears that the pandemic has affected the way pregnancies and deliveries are managed in the hospital , with the most important changes that have been made mainly being the reduction in the number of visits by pregnant women , the reduction in the duration of visits , the carrying out of examinations , the reduction in the number of people in the delivery room , the observance of safety measures and the conduct of examinations. Regarding the changes made towards pregnant women , the biggest change concerned the provision of advice to pregnant women. The hospital's overall response to the challenges of the pandemic was rated as very or very satisfactory , while the measures taken throughout the pandemic regarding pregnancy and childbirth management should continue beyond it.
