The aim of the thesis is to highlight the innovations of Directive 2023/2225/EU and its differences with Directive 2008/48/EC and the Government Regulation Z1-699/2010. The thesis analyzes the reasons that made it necessary to change the legislative framework, as well as the new regulations regarding the credit check and the information obligation of credit institutions towards consumers.An attempt is also being made to examine the civil liability of credit institutions in the light of the new Directive.
