The aim of the work was to study a body of texts, which originate from the Greco-Roman period, are related to the education of that period and give a clear and comprehensive picture of the educational system that prevailed in Roman Egypt. In particular, the methods used for the education of students, the stages that this education included and the use of the appropriate writing materials for each stage were studied.
