The implementation of EU law by the national judge in the field of public procurement

The purpose of the master thesis is to analyze, both on a theoretical and jurisprudential level, the EU public procurement law as it has been transposed and implemented in the Greek legal system. Particular emphasis is placed on case law, by which is examined how the national judge, who concurrently serves as an EU judge, applies EU law in practice, including its general principles. At the same time, it explores how EU public procurement law has contributed to the development of national public procurement. Furthermore, the mechanisms of cooperation between EU and national judges are documented, aiming at ensuring the uniform interpretation and implementation of public procurement law. Finally, the consequences arising from violations of public procurement law are outlined, along with the judicial remedies available to those affected by such violations.
