Summary:
The present postgraduate thesis explores the issue of diversity and perceptions of it in the light of social contributions in the preschool educational environment. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical background and the research part.
The theoretical part of this dissertation includes essentially and concisely the background of the concepts under examination and their importance in the current era of globalization and multiculturalism. The former are linked to the serious problem of bullying and marginalization in school classrooms as well as school racism.
The second chapter of the theoretical section concerns preschool ages and the roles of the teachers and parents involved as well as information on promoting diversity and social acceptance, as well as inclusion. It is important to promote a holistic approach that involves all students, parents and educators in order to enhance social acceptance of righteous social values and minimize the phenomena of marginalization of pupils and bullying in school environment.
All the above are processed as the core research material that ultimately leads to interviews in pre-school teachers, for the purpose of collecting responses and the statistical processing of those responses. The 3d and last chapter present the results of the interviewees' responses and correlates them in the conclusive discussion of the research on diversity and bullying in the preschool environment.
