Summary:
ΙNTRODUCTION: Chronic diseases are a major health problem, since many of them
are some of the major causes of morbidity and mortality. Depending mainly on
modifiable behaviors such as tobacco use, lack of physical activity, unhealthy
diet and alcohol. However, it appears that elevated levels of stress increase
the likelihood of a person to engage in conducting harmful habits to health
which has been associated in part with the lack of social support networks in
cases of stress.
PURPOSE OF THIS ESSAY: The conclusions of this work can be used to support
networks and reduce stress, as well as careful monitoring of patients with
problematic networks who are more likely to experience more intense
psychosocial stress .
Conclusion of the whole essay appears to be that the era of approaching the
patient addressing only to the didease has expired and that the interaction of
social factors on health and disease is necessary to be taken into account of
health professionals and researchers in the field. Essentially, it is
highlighted through this work that the need for further investigation of the
influence of social networks in the prognosis and treatment of diseases that
are treated daily by health professionals, is of great importance . The
vertical axis crossing through this research is that we could achieve cost
savings for the patient and the hospital, but also substantially improve the
quality of life of the patient through the inclusion of a social support
networks.
CONCLUSIONS: Social networks seem to have been introduced into the area of
health sciences and as an important factor that affects the health of people.
Stress as a mediator in online social networks and diseases must not fail to
mention the relationship between social networks and health. The network
effects are predictive of future morbidity and mortality and significant role
in the progress of the disease and the mental stability of the patient and
should not be omitted to study the possibility of changing the network as a
result of a disease.
