Summary:
Teacher stress can lead to burnout which has a negative impact on themselves,
their students and the educational system. The purpose of this study is
primarily to reduce burnout and stress levels, as well as to reduce the
negative effects of stress and improve health indicators, on preschool
teachers. Fifty-two preschool teachers were randomly assigned to intervention
and control group of an eight-week stress management and health promotion
program. Results showed that the program significantly decreased stress,
anxiety, depression, stress symptoms and had positive results on healthy
