Summary:
The importance of education with the aim of informing the public regarding
Natural Disasters and how to reduce the hazards arose from them, has already
been highlighted by policy makers and official bodies. Educating people not
only to be aware of the threats posed by such dangerous situations, but also on
how to deal with them, is a responsibility of public education. Bearing this
fact in mind, we have decided to write this thesis, developing innovative
teaching interventions for high school students. The main objective was the in
– depth understanding of dangerous natural phenomena and their management in
case of some extreme manifestation.
