As part of this thesis was extended and improved tool development Semandix
(Tool Representation ontologies and semantic relations) the design and the idea
of which belongs to the Applicant Doctor Panayiotis Blitsa and has the goal of
developing an educational tool based on cognitive model Denhiere and Baudet.
The platform was extended and improved to be used as a comprehensive
educational tool. Specifically, application extended so as to constitute a
complete management tool that can import users of different roles, ability to
organize one or more courses around a central concept and creation of different
user groups involved in the lesson. Moreover, improved the way of enriching the
database of Semandix and acceptance or rejection of the material from the
special and added the possibility of introducing open-ended questions by the
instructor. Also, improved search feature concepts and relationships from the
database Semandix and added the possibility of concept maps and responses to
open-ended questions of the instructor. Finally, added the possibility of
interaction between users and added the automatic evaluation of concept maps
and responses from the same platform Semandix and view reports and statistics.
