Summary:
In this thesis we study the Factorization Method for inverse scattering
problems.Chapter 1 is an introduction in the scattering theory,the inverse
problems and the applications of inverse scattering problems.In chapter 2 we
study acoustic waves after we mention some usefull information about Sobolev
spaces.In chapter 3 we study the factorization method for Dirichlet and
Neumann boundary conditions.Chapter 4 is devoted to mixed boundary conditions
and in chapter 5 we study the MUSIC-algorithm which we use to locate one or
more unknown targets.
