Summary:
In this paper we express solutions to the BTZ black hole using appropriate
coordinates so that the boundary of the AdS space becomes time-dependent. We
present analytic expressions for the transformation which produces this metric
and determine the region on covered by this parameterization on a Penrose
diagram.
Our construction allows the use of holographic techniques for the calculation
of thermodynamic properties of the dual conformal field theory. We discuss the
conditions under which the temperature of a CFT can be defined on a expanding
background and calculate it through holography.
The stress energy tensor of the CFT is calculated through holographic
renormalization and this result enables the determination of the entropy. We
confirm the hypothesis that the entropy is proportional to the length of the
line delimiting the excluded region at a
given time.
Finally, we interpret our results within the framework of the Cardy formula for
the entropy of a 2-D CFT and propose a generalization that takes into account
the vacuum energy related to the expansion.
