Elementary mathematical modeling with teaching implications
Summary:
The mathematical modeling and chaotic expansion are the main subject of this
thesis. The elementary mathematical models that will be presented are not
displayed in random order but, as will occur with increasing complexity. The
main ones are linear, the quadratic, geometric models, mixed and finally
logistic models. Analysis of chaotic behavior of the last-presented a
mathematical formalism, it will close the cycle of study of mathematical
models. The development issues is somewhat extended because they are
simultaneously material and instruction.
More specifically, we will present the mathematical models studying with three
different methods: numerical, graphical and theoretical. The numerical method
involves the actual data (eg calculation of differences between successive
entries) and make direct use of numbers as their main tool. Use math
calculations. The graphical methods include ways they can visualize the data
(eg bar chart or diagram powerline) and interpret these representations (eg
size bars or how abruptly closed the lines in the graph). Use, math graphs. The
theoretical methods or Analytical / Symbolic methods use mathematical tools for
expressing and manipulating relationships or patterns. The tools include
functions, variables, algebra and understanding the behavior of different
mathematical objects.
