Summary:
Μy thesis analyzes six self-referential films, which are: "The purple rose of
Cairo" (Woody Allen),"The Contempt" (Jean-Luc Godard), "Eight and a half"
(Federico Fellini), "The state of things" (Wim Wenders), "Day for Night"
(Francois Truffaut) and "Close-Up" (Abbas Kiarostami).
I emphasize to the notions of auteur-theory and metafictionality,trying to
find the self-reflexive elements in these films, My thesis ends with some
important conclusion on self-referentiality of the se six films.
