Summary:
We study the calculation of the entropy of the five dimentional supersymmetric
black hole i the domain of string theory. Particularly a summary of the free
bosonic string is discussed where the quantum states contain tachyon and the
critical dimention of the theoty is D=26. Physical systems are discribed in the
content of superstrings where we are purged from tachyonic states and critical
dimention of the theor becomes D=10. By entering specific boundary conditions
in the equations of motion we see that strings can move on hypersurfaces called
d-branes. D-branes have physical characteristics like charge. Winding a string
around a compactified dimention observers in lower dimentions observe at the
point of compactification a point charge. Calculating the partition of a
quantum sting on a D0-brane we find the number of states. Finally by
constructing the charges of the five dimentional black hole and using the
formula for the number of quantum states we produce the entropy of the black
hole.
