Types of literary irony in Marios Hakkas' prose

Aim of this paper is to present and study a crucial characteristic of Marios Hakkas' literary production; the use of irony. The field of the research is his prose wirtings in total.
In the first chapter is given a full timeline of Hakkas' life and also his literary production. In the following chapter the irony is to be presented. A full presentation of theoritical studies is given in order to proceed to the next chapter with an established knowledge of irony. The third chapter is the main one. The subject is ready to be studied. Hakkas' prose is being analyzed according to the theories of the previous chapter.
In the last chapter, there will be some quantitative conclusions about the author's favorite irony techniques, the most common used.
