Study of the contribution of the role of the pharmacist in primary health care for displaced populations
Summary:
The paper explores the contribution of the role of the pharmacist in primary health care for displaced populations. Undoubtedly, the role of the pharmacist becomes vital, in a health-focused, to the patient, approach. The development of the concept of "9-star pharmacist" has «defended» this role globally, bringing positive changes not only in providing pharmaceutical and health care but also in public health. However, the significance of the role of the pharmacist is constantly overshadowed. The refugee crisis and the migratory phenomenon are a reality and have significantly affected the health system in our country.
The role of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Hospitality and Migration Service Centers is crucial, as they undertake the greatest "burden" to relief these populations. Language barriers, cultural and religious differences necessitate intercultural approaches to health services and drug policy.
This paper proposes the pictograms as a "cultural competence" tool and explains why and how the list of emergency care medicines keeps health needs on hand covered.
