Summary:
The objective of the study at hand was to describe the most important physiotherapy technics that are related to the early physical rehabilitation and the best appliance to multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, analyzing their role to achieving a better quality of life for the patients.
An extended literature review was implanted regarding scientific studies, that would refer at the rehabilitation of MS patients with physiotherapy treatment and their improvement. The data bases that were used are PUBMED and AMEDEO.
At the beginning a detailed study of the pathological nature of the disease was given as well as their clinical characteristics analyzing the development, progress stages and pharmaceutical treatment of the MS.
There was a detailed reference at the physiotherapy approaches with natural and mechanic means at the MS patient treatment and their efficiency as well as the possible need for further research.
Moreover a study overview was established having the purpose of clarifying the importance of the positive effects that the management of the symptoms of MS patients have on the quality of their life and the effect at the disease progress and related statuses.
Finally ay the main structure of the report was analyzed and explained exercises programs, basically energetic, for MS patients and the investigation of their efficiency at a percentage and the importance that is recognized by scientific studies that the personalized therapy program- treatment has.
In conclusion, it appears that the physical activity of MS patients seems to improve their quality of life and their muscle strength, having established that the muscular strength loss was greater at MS patients without any physical activity that proved to be improved with the appliance of physiotherapy treatment. Physiotherapy seems to be a valuable therapeutic intervention, with important positive effects on MS patients rehabilitation but was also defined the need for further research and individualization at the physiotherapy approach of MS patients.
