Summary:
The main characteristics of modern era are the rapid evolution of technology and the spread of its achievements the use of which has become almost global. At the same time education is required to respond both to the new needs of the students and to the society that forms and from which is formed. The use of information Technology and Theater in Education can play a significant role in this direction.
As we observe, the gap between the "digital natives" students and "digital immigrants" teachers can be moderated by the combination of drama techniques and Technology. Digital drama, digital storytelling, virtual learning environments and digital games are able to refresh the educational state by focusing in student's needs, achieving educational and aesthetic goals at the same time.
The purpose of this thesis is to highlight how the possibilities of new Technologies and Drama could be combined, according to educational needs, without undermining the artistic side that constitute the main part of the Theater.
