Summary:
As an innovative strategy, Digital Storytelling is used nowadays also as a tool in the business arena. The annihilation of distances, the need to reduce costs and expenses, the digital affinity and feedback of people through social networks are fertile ground for business, apart from building social relationships. Young entrepreneurs (start uppers), digitally literate, are also judged on the basis of the extent to which they use their imagination and creativity, for the originality of the development and structure of their own personal history and on how successfully they manage to connect everyday life and fiction in a standardized format of introduction and closing of a good story. The performance is also an essential part of a successful storytelling. In contemporary literature for startups, it is recognized that the growing use of video as a means of recording, which covers both the image and the sound of virtualization, offers the opportunity to celebrate all the accomplishments of storytelling. The power of the moving image reminds us that the core of orality, of narration, is not merely a concept that relies on sound. A video can catch the pulse, the tonal variations, it captures not only the aspects “without words”, but at the same time, the memory is invoked or the narrative itself is being actualized.
