Summary:
One of the most important technological developments of the modern era is the development of technology. The invasion of new technologies into labor market also contributes to the direction of the modern commercial and business world towards organizing the economy and trading through relevant digital platforms, the emergence of which was made by multinational companies in Silicon Valley and the western coasts of the United States. In this new type of economy (Gig Economy), there are mainly two new forms of work: crowdworking or crowdworking and work on-demand via apps.
The subject of this study is the analysis of crowdworking or crowdworking, the new form of organization of work through an electronic platform, where workers installed on this platform are directed to a large public to take up work. The parties are investigated in this trilateral relationship (crowdsourcer, platform, crowdworker) and the relations they develop, while the problems that arise, concerning the destabilization of the concept of business, the change of the employer's concept and, above all, the liquidation of the concept of the employee.
As part of the approach to this flexible form of employment, research is geared towards rethinking the notion of dependency. The concept of dependence, criteria and indications of dependence, theories formulated, and distinction from related types of contracts are therefore investigated, while the case law criteria formulated in the Greek legal order are also commented. The question that arises here, is whether the concept of dependence will be widened, therefore, the application of labor law legislation, or a special category of workers will be created, to which the labor law rules will apply in part.
According to the literature, in the national scientific community, there is a tendency towards widening the notion of dependence, with a shift away from personal dependence, towards the integration into the business unit and, above all, towards the notion of economic dependence.
