Summary:
The subject of this diplomacy is the legislative framework in the fild of water policy at international, European and local levels. This is aimed at protection through water management in order to balance supply and demand for present and future generations. Basic instruments for these are L. 1739/1987, D. 2000/60 and L. 3199/2003. Notable example of non rational resources management is the case of Asopos river. Issues that arise include the violation oh the right to health, the right to access to environmental information, violation of the legal frameword for water, waste water management and lack of spatial planning. Decision 207/2015 of Central Council of Municipality of Central Greece provides solutions through the creation of nev infrastructuves such as the creation of a Business Park for Rehabiliation and Development. Most of these infrastructuves are at an advanced stage giving a promissing message.
