Summary:
This thesis focuses on the modeling and simulation of the patient management process with the BRMN standard. It’s known that procedures play a leading role in the healthcare sector and define both primary and secondary functions of hospitals. As care and treatment is particularly important, it should be done in the best way.
One way to achieve this is to redesign the activity, for which many methodologies have been developed. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to implement a method that will create a model of the patient management process in a clinic, based on the BPMN 2.0 standard, process simulation will be performed and will be redesigned based on the results. In order to achieve this, a bibliographic review was initially carried out in order to identify the existing international bibliography. Then, with the help of the ADONIS software tool, the process was modeled on the basis of data collected from a hospital. Finally, using the same tool, simulation was performed, potential problems were identified and a new model was created to address them.In conclusion, it can be said that the method produces a significant amount of information, measurable results and can be applied to redesign activities.
