Summary:
This diplomatic study is divided into two parts, which are governed by common problems. More specifically, it is recorded and analyzed through the relevant European and international, where appropriate, bibliography and articles, as well as the official electronic sources of the institutions of the European Union, the primary and especially the derived law from which the principles and rules of law , which govern the audiovisual sector, the licensing of private television stations in the Union, the "passage" in the digital age, but also the institutional barriers to breaching the rules of fair competition; concentration of mass media business.
The research interest in Europe, in general, is being transferred in Greece, in particular, which, since 1989, when private television channels first appeared, until today, where they tend to "disappear", both quantitatively and in terms of quality content, requested remains the following: restoring legitimacy to the licensing and operating regime of the media, rationalizing the television scene, respecting the principles of objective information and pluralism, and, in particular, legal integration and economic activity in this setting for mass media business.
