Summary:
This study has been an attempt to help students in middle school understand the meaning of hydrostatic pressure and buoyancy and apply their knowledge on constructing a submarine. The cause of this study was the difficulty of students to penetrate into these means, something that the writer had noticed, based on his own experience. This is why he preferred a quidded experimentation through worksheets, using simple daily materials and examples from everyday life. The final goals were the increase in students' interest during the course through designing and constructing a submarine, familiarization with problem-solving situations in STEM education and getting in touch with center of mass, gas compressibility and Pascal's law.
