Summary:
Nowadays, that technology is evolving rapidly and information is an important element in the management of everyday life, informing the population about the reduction the risk of disasters is a major concern of states at global level.
In this direction the educational community is one of the main target groups because it can make a decisive contribution to the effective management of natural disasters.
The aim of this work is to raise awareness and inform the educational community about natural disasters in the context of formal education.
To achieve this, initially a search of the existing information regarding natural disasters in the educational packages of the curriculum of the Primary and Secondary Education was made and the good practices were recorded.
Through questionnaires, the level of competence of this educational approach to the different target groups of the educational community was explored.
Finally, proposals and worksheets were created to optimize the educational approach with regards to natural disasters in primary and secondary education.
