Designing a website for teenagers (aged12-17)

This current dissertation is being carried out in the Univeristy of Athens along the lines of the Master’s degree titled “Educational technology and Human resources development” having as a center topic the design of web sites for Junior Highschool-Highschool students. Specifically, the primary target is the search and recording of all these prerequisites (pedagogical, organizational, technological) that should be fulfilled by a web-learning environment so that it is as effective as the following practical application on a website for students of the Secondary education should be.
The technological explosion that characterizes the 21st century brought without a doubt, crucial changes on our daily life. New challenges arise on our educational horizon from the dynamic entrance of new technologies in the student’s learning process and in these specific challenges we will try to answer with the present paper. Our target is the demonstration of the basic web design princples for teenagers according to the priciples of learning of modern pedagogical theories, as they are defined nowadays.
