Summary:
The present postgraduate thesis was elaborated within the framework of the Postgraduate Program "Management and Assessment of Occupational, Environmental and Pharmaceutical Risk" and aimed at the correlation between the seismic sequence in our country through the impact of the earthquakes in the natural and structured environment and in the human society, and the evolution of Earthquake Regulations.
The first part consists of five chapters, which are as follows: in the first chapter are presented some data on the natural disasters in general and is presented a detailed description of the phenomenon of the earthquake with several elements of technical seismology, in the second chapter are described the basic parameters of Antiseismic design which constitute the basic concepts on which the Earthquake Regulation is structured, the third Chapter analyzes the concept of seismic risk and in Chapter 4 are presented the effects of earthquakes on the natural environment, in construction, in economic life and in physical and mental health.
The second part consists of the fifth, sixth and seventh Chapters, of which the fifth is the evolution of the Earthquake Regulations in relation to the seismic events in our country, while in the sixth chapter there is a review and presentation of the evolution of the structure in our country and the conditions that led us to the need to prevent the impact of earthquakes through the introduction of interventions in reinforced concrete buildings (KANEPE). In the seventh and final chapter some conclusions are made.
