Summary:
The purpose of this Thesis is the presentation of the Least Squares’ Problem and the investigation of the cases where the problem needs regularization. For this reason, in the first part of the Thesis, some Mathematical tools required for the Least Squares’ Problem’s solution are presented, as well a brief analysis on a Linear System’s condition. In addition, some of the basic regularization methods are explained. In conclusion, several error estimates for the Linear System’s solution are developed.
